Events Update 1st November 2021

Notice regarding Events and Reps:

Bowls Counties Manukau

Due to the continuing restrictions in place because of the current Covid 19 lockdown and the recent announcements by the government outlining the way forward for New Zealand, it is apparent that we will not be resuming our BCM bowling programme anytime soon.

Therefore, the Bowls Counties Manukau Board have decided to postpone the remaining events planned for this calendar year (2021). In addition, we have also decided to cancel all our Rep fixtures planned for this calendar year.

This means that the majority of the BCM events planned for this season have now been postponed and it is unlikely that we will be able to hold all of these events this season. Accordingly, in December / January, the Board will be reviewing the situation and will advise a revised programme for the remainder of the season.

This communication is based on information currently available and it is highly likely that further announcements will be made regarding the BCM events programme and Reps should the circumstances change.

Also, Bowls New Zealand have recently announced their position on vaccinations and vaccine certificates within bowling clubs and at events. The BCM Board is considering this and will advise their position in the near future.

A copy of this notice can be found on the BCM website.
